Dr.Praveen R.P. received the B.E. Degree (Hons.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from M.S.University, Tirunelveli, India, in 2004, and the M.Tech Degree  (1^st rank) in Electrical Machines from College of Engineering Trivandrum, Kerala, India  in 2007 and obtained his Ph.D in 2013 from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India. He has carried out his research work at ISRO Inertial Systems Unit, Cochin university of Science and Technology and College of Engineering Trivandrum and has got nearly 18 years of teaching and research experience. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering, Majmaah University, Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia. He is also the Member Secretary of the Department Council and is the Coordinator of the Senior Design Committee, Assessment and Evaluation Committee, Undergraduate Research and Assistance Committee and member of Quality Committee and Curriculum committee in the Department. He is the Reviewer of many reputed International Journals like IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, IETE, Elsevier Journal of King Saud University - Engineering Sciences (JKSUES), Electric Power Components and Systems Journal (Taylor & Francis), Progress In Electromagnetics Research (PIER), Journal of Energy, Applied Thermal Engineering (Elsevier), Artificial Intelligence Review (Springer Nature), Energy Nexus (Elsevier), Scientific African (Elsevier), Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences (Majmaah University). His research contributions include twenty six International Journal papers, fourteen IEEE International Conference papers and nine National Conference papers. His research interests include Special Electrical Machines and Drives, Renewable Energy systems, Concentrated Solar Power Systems and Power Quality issues in Grid Integration.
